We’re Hiring! 31 Term Positions:

June 26 to August 24, 2026

Big news from the Club this summer.

We’re proud to share that BGC Leduc has been approved for 31 Canada Summer Jobs positions this year. For 8 weeks this summer, we’ll be hiring students into full-time roles across summer camp programming (ages 5–12), youth services, and marketing and communications—creating meaningful, hands-on employment opportunities right here in our community.

This represents a record-scale investment in youth employment for our organization – and one of the largest Canada Summer Jobs allocations in recent years within the Leduc–Wetaskiwin federal riding (formerly Edmonton-Wetaskiwin riding). To put this in context, most community organizations and youth-serving agencies in our region typically receive single-digit to low double-digit positions. This level of allocation allows us to significantly expand how many young people we can employ, mentor, and support in real work environments.

For our community, this means:
  • more local students earning meaningful summer income
  • more hands-on skill development and job readiness experience
  • and more pathways for young people to stay connected to their community through work
We’re incredibly grateful to the Department of Employment and Social Development Canada for recognizing this need and investing in opportunities that directly benefit young people in our region.
