Cassy Nelson (she/her)
Executive Director
I have been with the Club since 2023 and it has been such a welcome experience! As a young person, I was always busy babysitting, working at summer camps and facilitating child and youth programs. After achieving my Bachelor Degree in Child and Youth Care, I entered the field of Child and Family Services and spent the last 10 years of my career supporting children, youth and families in various direct client support work and leadership roles.
As the Executive Director of BGC Leduc, what excites me most is the chance to amplify children and youth voices, establish long lasting collaboration with community partners and continue the great work of reducing barriers for children, youth and their families.
Safety, support, confidence, and healthy relationships set kids up for much more than a fun memory or a place to simply hang out. BGC Leduc has contributed thousands of opportunities for children and adolescents in our community to build resiliency, joy, and connectedness. I am motivated to continue this momentum, get creative, and lead BGC Leduc’s rockstar team into their next chapter of potential!

Brittany Garlough (she/her)
Operations Manager
My Club story begins as a volunteer in 2013…and I have yet to leave! I worked through the afterschool program in high school, moved on to summer programming staff and then finally worked my way to where I am today as the Operations Manager. The Club holds a very special place in my heart, and I would not want to be anywhere else. Serving the kids in our community has been a passion of mine and I am so thrilled that I get to wake up and do just that each day. I also enjoy supporting my team mates and helping our organization recruit and retain our incredible staff roster!
A bit about me personally: I am a busy mom of two handsome and goofy sons and happily married. We live in a beautiful neighborhood in Leduc and I love walking through all the pathways around our home. We spend tons of time outside, at the lake, in the pool and prioritize as much family time as we can. We are very close to our extended family here in Leduc and are so thankful to raise our children here.

Jenna Gitzel (she/her)
Youth Program Coordinator
I have been with BGC Leduc since 2017, and I truly believe this is where I am meant to be. It has been a rewarding experience working with the children and youth members in our community. Throughout my time here, I have had the opportunity to take on various roles, each of which has enriched my understanding of the needs and aspirations of young people.
As the Youth Coordinator, I am passionate about supporting youth in developing their skills, building meaningful connections, and fostering greater self-confidence. This role is both fulfilling and inspiring, and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our members.
Outside of work, I live in Leduc with my husband and our adorable pup, Otis. Having grown up in Leduc, I have a strong connection to this community. I also spent 15 years competing in dance locally, which has led me to now teach dance at a local studio for children ages 2-13. I am proud to contribute to the growth of young people in Leduc, both in and outside of the BGC environment.

Jolie Erick (she/her)
Office and Financials Administrator
I joined the club in the summer of 2025, and what a busy and exciting time it has been!
I have over 20 years of experience in financial management, with a specialized focus on the nonprofit sector. After earning my diploma from NAIT, I continued my education at Athabasca University and upgraded my skills with the Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting, which laid the foundation for a diverse and fulfilling career across multiple industries including oil and gas, provincial agencies and public accounting.
Over the past decade, I have dedicated my skills to nonprofit organizations, most recently serving as the financial manager for the Zebra Child and Youth Advocacy Centre in Edmonton, collaborating closely with EPS, RCMP, and Children’s Services. These meaningful experiences have helped me discover my true passion: supporting programs that mentor children and youth.
I grew up in the Leduc region (Devon) and have been lucky to call Leduc home for the past 15 years with my husband and daughter. Outside of work, I enjoy camping, gardening, drawing and spending time with family — including our two dogs and three frogs. I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with a great team like BGC and live in such a great community like Leduc.
